Following a British Horseracing Authority reclassification of high-grade jump handicaps, it was renamed a Premier Handicap ahead of the 2023 running

Let's get into today's preview and tips.

King Roly Eyes Summer Plate Glory

A field of fourteen runners line up for the Summer Plate Premier Handiccap Chase at Market Rasen.

Mickey Bowen runs three with good chances in the Summer Plate. I am siding with King Roly down near the bottom of the weight with Shane Fenelon booked to ride. Shane claims off five pounds which leaves King Roly with only ten stone to carry. He ran well over course and distance when second behind Fringill Dike.

King Roly lumped around 12-1 that day and will feel like a loose horse carrying over two stone less here. King Roly has not won since winning nicely at Perth on good ground last September. The handicapper has dropped him back down to the same mark of 120 and all looks set fair for a big run by this seven-year-old.

Dan and Harry Skelton have the favourite, Kingston Narcissus A bigger danger looks like stablemate, Queensbury Boy with James Bowen riding in first time pieces.

Market Rasen 2:45

1 point each way King Roly 10/1 generally, 4 places.

Best of Luck, Nicky

Latest winner: Urban Lion @ 12/1
