Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase Preview..

Hi Reader

The cold spell is limiting the options for trainers to run their horses.

Kempton and Wetherby are off! We target the Grade 3 handicap chase at Fairyhouse.

ITV Racing are covering the Dan & Joan Moore Handicap Chase which is scheduled for 1:45.

2024 finished on a winner thanks to the well named "Win Some Lose Some".

Last year was a winning and profitable year for followers for the Big Saturday Race Prewiew & Tips column.

A profit of +19.55 points won. There was 10 winners & 18 placed from a total of 80 tips.

A tidy profit of £977.50 to £50 per point stakes or maybe £391 to £20 per point stakes.

American Mike to come good at Fairyhouse

Fairyhouse should pass their 7:30am morning inspection.

That is good news for jump racing starved punters.

Most bookies are paying 4 places in the Dan & Joan Moore handicap chase which is good value with only 13 runners declared! Skybet go one better offering 5 places and that gives us each way punters a chance to back two against the field!

American Mike finished third over course and distance in late November. That was a much-improved run down almost a mile in trip following his poor run in the Troytown handicap chase at Navan in mid-November. Carl Millar rode a good race on American Mike in that listed handicap chase where he finished third in a group finish.

Carl rides again with his 5lb claim reducing the weight to be carried by American Mike to a pound above eleven stone. The ground was yielding in November and American Mike will love the soft going and more of a stamina test, this time round. He’s a classy horse and if on a going day could take beating with conditions to suit.

Rebel Gold has turned 12 years old but remains in good form. He ran over course and distance back in November in a listed handicap chase won by The Folkes Tiara. The winner franked the form at Leopardstown over Christmas. Trainer Paddy Foley has given Rebel Gold a few spins over hurdles this season while waiting on his preferred testing ground.

Rebel Gold likes to race off the front end and jumped well until outpaced here on yielding ground in November. The handicapper left Rebel Gold on a chase mark of 140. Conor Smithers rides instead of Michael O’Sullivan and his 7lb claim is a big help. Rebel Gold is a natural jumper and should go well at a big price carrying only 10-7 on his back.

Hunters Yarn & Ha d'Or represent champion trainer Willie Mullins. They will need to improve their jumping to win such a competitive race. The King of Prs & Midnight It Is looked handicapped to their best. Let's Go Champ would prefer better groud and further so maybe it is Path d'Oroux who proves the biggest danger.

Fairyhouse 1:45

0.5 point each way American Mike 5/1 Skybet 5 places else 11/2 generally, 4 places.

0.5 point each way Rebel Gold 14/1 generally, 4 places.

Best of Luck,

Nicky

Big Saturday Race Preview And Tips

Hi Reader A good Saturday of racing at Haydock and Ascot. Haydock has passed its morning inspection with the Peter Marsh Handicap Chase and Grade 2 novices hurdle the feature races. I found it difficult to see past the top three in the betting in the Peter Marsh who are short for a long distance chase. We turn out attention to Ascot's premier raceday card and specifically the bet365 Handicap Chase at 2:15. Big Saturday Race Preview And Tips All our Big Saturday Race Previews & Tips are...
